The Catalan giants lag behind Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid and Atletico in the percentage of stadium capacity being used during games
A report has revealed that Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium has just the sixth best capacity to attendance ratio in La Liga.
According to data compiled by statistics website soccersay.com, an average of 71,963 supporters attend matches at the Catalan ground, meaning that the stadium is, on average, 72 per cent full during games.
The figures, which see Barcelona lag behind clubs such as Real Sociedad and Malaga, come not long after the club revealed plans to expand the seating capacity of the stadium from 99,787 to 105,000.
Athletic Bilbao top the chart with an average of 34,984 (95%) flocking to see the club at the San Mames, while Barcelona's rivals Real Madrid are second in the table with the Santiago Bernabeu filling 86% of its 81,044 capacity.
The home of Atletico Madrid, the Vicente Calderon, follows Real Madrid in third with an average of 83%, while Real Sociedad's stadium, Anoeta, is on average 77% full.
Closely behind in fifth place are Malaga, with La Rosaleda filling 74% of its 30,044 capacity.
