shining in the Championship last term
Crystal Palace have announced the signing on a season-long loan deal of Patrick Bamford from Chelsea.
Bamford spent last term with Middlesbrough in the Championship, scoring 19 goals in 43 games across all competitions for Aitor Karanka's side.
The 21-year-old has also signed a new three-year contract with the Blues in a display of their confidence in his success at Selhurst Park.
Bamford becomes Palace's second new recruit of the summer, with midfielder Yohan Cabaye having already arrived from Paris Saint-Germain.
The youngster was included in England Under-21s manager Gareth Southgate's original squad for the European Championship this summer but had to be excluded due to injury.
