
Sterling has inched closer to his move away from Anfield on Tuesday, after he completed his medical ahead of a switch to the Etihad stadium.
Sterling is understood to have agreed a contract with Man City worth around £200,000 a week, which is a lot more than the £30,000 a week deal which the player is currently on at Anfield.
The BBC’s David Ornstein – arguably the most trusted source of transfer news in England – reported on Twitter that Sterling had finished his medical.
He further added that as soon as the “paperwork” is taken care of, Sterling will jump on a plane to join up with Man City’s pre-season in Australia.

Man City take on Melbourne City on July 18th. If Sterling doesn’t
make his debut in that game, then he could play against Roma in the
International Champions Cup on July 21st, or against Real Madrid on July
