Valdes upbeat despite Manchester United tour snub

 

The Spanish goalkeeper was not included in the club's squad for their pre-season trip to the United States, but is remaining upbeat ahead of the new Premier League season

Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes says he is "working hard" ahead of the new season after being left out of the club's pre-season tour by manager Louis van Gaal.

The Spaniard was omitted from United’s squad for their trip to the United States, heightening speculation that the 33-year-old could leave Old Trafford just six months after joining the club on an 18-month contract.

Turkish club Antalyaspor have confirmed that they are in talks with Valdes over a move, but he posted a picture on the social network on Tuesday, insisting that he is “working hard” ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, while posing with a thumbs-up sign.
