The 22-year-old made his debut at the weekend against Shakhtar Donetsk but it was cut short after 20 minutes due to knocks received by the midfielder

Dnipro midfielder Michael Babatunde will have his first training session with the rest of the players despite receiving knocks at the weekend which put an early end to his debut against Shakhtar Donetsk, according to his agent Nureni Makanjuola.
The former Volyn player did not train with before playing a 20 minutes cameo for his new club as requested by manager Bohgdanovych Markevych who had confidence in his abilities to do well.

The player was, however, replaced after playing 20 minutes as a result of knocks which caused muscle strain.

He is expected to rejoin his teammates at their training ground today having recovered from the knocks.

“Michael Babatunde was not injured as being speculated in the media. What happened is that he had a minor muscle pull as a result of the hard tackles he received from Shakhtar Donetsk defenders,” Makanjuola disclosed.

“He will join the team in his first ever training on Monday and I believe he will soon jell with the rest of the players. His manager told him after the match that he was happy and satisfied with what he did on the pitch under just 20 minutes,” Makanjuola said.

Babatunde signed a three-year contract with Dnipro last week after calling time on his contract with Volyn.
