Brazil international Roberto Firmino scored his first goals for his new club on Monday, hitting a hat-trick as Liverpool beat Welsh side TNS in a friendly match.

Liverpool won 5-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the club's training ground, which also saw Danny Ings and Lazar Markovic find the net.

Firmino made his official debut for the Premier League club on Sunday as a second-half substitute in their 1-0 victory over Stoke at the weekend, with fellow Brazil international Philippe Coutinho netting the only goal of that game.

Former Hoffenheim forward Firmino joined the Reds from the Bundesliga club this summer in a move reported to be worth around €40 million.

The 23-year-old broke into the Dunga's Brazil squad last year and has since established himself as the team's first-choice centre-forward, operating as a false No.9.

He scored one goal in June's Copa America campaign, netting what proved to be the winner in a 2-1 group game against Venezuela.

He is expected to be included in Dunga's squad for the upcoming Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour double-header against Costa Rica and USA next month, which will be announced on Thursday.

Firmino is hoping to make his first start for his new club when Liverpool host Bournemouth at Anfield on Monday.
