Joseph Yobo set on verge of EPL return with Norwich
The out-of-favour Nigeria captain is set to move to England on a short loan spell in a bid to revive his hopes of playing at the World Cup in Brazil later in the year

Fenerbahçe defender Joseph Yobo is set to seal a return to the English Premier League with a loan deal that will see him play for Norwich City until the end of the season.

A statement posted on Fenerbahce's official Twitter account reads: "Fenerbahce SK has begun talks with Premier Leagues's Norwich City for the loan of Joseph Yobo."

The Yellow Canaries are expected to release a statement confirming the details of the loan deal later today.

Cardiff City came close to signing Yobo over the summer, however, the 33-year-old was reluctant to move away from Istanbul due to his family having settled into life in Turkey.

The 95-cap Nigeria international, the most capped Nigerian player ever, is yet to play for the national team since the end of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa where he had a falling out with national coach Stephen Keshi.
